Golden Eaglets Confront Sweden For A Place In The Final


The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria will today,5pm Local time, take to the field to battle against Sweden for a place in the Final of the on going FIFA U-17 World Cup in Dubai,United Arab Emirates
Both teams battled to a 3-3 draw in their first meeting in the tournament in Al Ain City on October 22 but the duo insist the story will be different this time around.

“I want to congratulate the boys for a job well done against Uruguay and Sweden should be ready for our fireworks in the semifinal on Tuesday,” Manu told reporters on Sunday.

“We have learned so much playing against Sweden the last time, but we shall be ready for them this time around.”

The Eaglets have scored  20 goals in five matches to emerge as  the best attacking side  at the championship  and China ’85 FIFA Under-17 World Cup winner Ugbade says they will be out to beat Sweden to maintain their record.

“They (Eaglets)  have been doing well and we are also concentrating on ensuring that they are physiologically fit to play because that is also an important aspect of their training,” the News Agency of Nigeria quoted the former Super Eagles defender as saying on Sunday.

“Constant talking to the players, both collectively and individually, has also helped. They are young lads and need to be constantly guided.
