Keshi Warns Players: If you are not in Camp By Wednesday, forget about the Match.

The Super Eagles camp in Calabar is almost filled with invited players ahead of Saturday’s crunch World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia, followed by the friendly match against Italy.

As at the time of filing this report, 21 of the 24 players expected have arrived the Metropolitan Hotel where the African Champions are lodged.

While 21 players are now in camp, it was
gathered that only 15 of them took part in the team’s maiden training session on Tuesday (others breezed in after the day’s training exercise) a situation that has seen Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, give Wednesday deadline for those still being expected.

Kickoff Nigeria quotes Keshi as saying “I am
not happy at all. We talked about this and
everyone was expected to be here today.”
“But maybe because of flight issues, some
people are not here and it will destabilize our program.”

With Nosa Igiebor ruled out with injury, Keshi expects to see 24 players in Calabar on Tuesday afternoon. And the former captain warned that Wednesday was cut-off date.

“Anybody who is not here by Wednesday’s
training is out,” he said. Players in at the last count Vincent Enyeama, Mikel Obi, Godfrey Oboabona, John Ogu, James Okwuosa, Bright Dike, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Nnamdi Oduamadi, Sunday Mba, Chigozie
Agbim, Victor Moses, Solomon Kwambe,
Austin Ejide, Benjamin Francis, Elderson Echiejile, Rueben Gabriel, Kenneth Omeruo, Ahmed, Musa, Efe Ambrose, Obinna Nsofor, and Shola Ameobi. is your one-stop online news magazine blog. We report credible information as they happen. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get Latest Information.
